ABHA: Asir region stands as one of the most naturally diverse destinations in Saudi Arabia, featuring highlands, majestic mountains, and an extended coastline overlooking the Red Sea, which together create breathtaking scenery and unique tourist experiences.

Asir’s coastline stretches over 140 kilometers, encompassing Al-Birk governorate, which itself is adorned with a series of islands, which are home to colorful coral reefs — among the most beautiful in the Red Sea — and surrounded by mangrove forests, which are prominent coastal ecosystems. They also serve as a safe breeding ground for migratory birds and sea turtles, establishing them as an important center of biodiversity in the region.
